Water, Wind, Kite and Board, Sun, People, Funny! These are the elements for this great fun and friendly kite adventure in Punta Trettu with the kite camp of KiteGeneration!

Kitesurfing offers a breathtaking dimension. You don’t need any prior knowledge, learning kitesurfing is funny and relatively easy when the conditions are right like in Punta Trettu. What you should bring is respect for wind, water and nature, funny, happyness for enoying and sharing new things with other people!

In our kite course, we teach beginners not only the theoretical basics, but also all practical things such as assembly and disassembly of the kite, launching, landing, relaunch, one-handed and “blind” flying, body drags, water start, driving and gliding. Advanced riders could learn in supervised mode with radio, running upwind, carving jibes, switched stance, transitions, grabs and big airs.

In order to provide qualified training, there is a limit of 4 participants per instructor for all courses. At the end of the kite camp, you will get the VDWS or IKO International Kite License.

Set of kite equipment will be shared every 2 studens!

Trained and certified kite instructors are ready and will teach you all kite techniques to become an indipendent rider.

The camp is designed both first-time kitesurfers and experienced riders.

Beginners will have kite lessons with professional instructors who will teach the basics of kitesurfing, including safety measures, kite control, and board handling.

More advanced riders can take their skills to the next level, learning new tricks and improving their style.

The kite camp will take place in Punta Trettu, in the South West of Sardinia. Punta Trettu is considered a perfect spot for kitesurfing, a kitesurf paradise: it looks like a lagoon and has flat water, shallow water and high percentage of steady windy days. For those reasons Punta Trettu is considered a Paradise for Kitesurfing, the best kite spot in Sardinia and one of the best kite spot all over the world, perfect both for beginners and advanced!

KiteGeneration’s instructors are experienced, professional and certified kite teachers that will provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring that everyone leaves the camp feeling happy and accomplished. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, the kitesurf camp in Punta Trettu provides an unforgettable experience.

Proposed accommodations are:

• single or twice/double rooms with private bathroom
• Tent (your tent or tent provided by the school with an additional fee)

Hygiene concept for all accommodation has to be followed during the kite camp.

Our Kite Camp of 7 days (5 days of kiting are planned), in the best spots of Southern Sardinia, is addressed both to beginners and advanced riders. After an exciting tine in the water, you could enjoy typical Italian and Sardinian foods and social life.

You will be fully immersed in a fantastic kite experience sharing incredible moment and emotions with new friends!

In short, the kite camp programm will be as follow:

1. Day 1: welcome – arrival – check in, apertizer and dinner
2. Day 2: kite experience, social aperitizer and dinner;
3. Day 3: kite experience, social aperitizer and dinner;
4. Day 4: kite experience, social aperitizer and dinner;
5. Day 5: kite experience, social aperitizer and dinner;
6. Day 6: kite experience, social aperitizer and dinner;
7. Day 7: goodbye.

Evening Program

After each daily kite session, at the Punta Trettu Kitesurf Hourse you will have a debriefing, an aperitized and dinner for sharing great social moments all togheter.  

Dinner could be at the Punta Trettu Kitesurf House, prepared by yourself by using the shared kitchen facilitu or to local restaurants and pizzerias.

In our kite camp the learning program for beginenrs would be the following:

Kite Camp Day 2:

• Preparation of the kite equipment at the kite school
• Theoretical introduction: winds, meteorology, wind window, safety systems description, kite gear description, type of kites, etc.
• Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
• Holding, Carrying and Securing a Kite on Land
• Safety systems use
• Kite set up
• Kite take off and kite landing
• Control of the Kite in the wind window
• Equipment packing
• Back to the kite school and equipment set-up

Kite Camp Day 3:

• Preparation of the kite equipment at the kite school
• Theoretical introduction: how to take off (launching) and landing a kite
• Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness, etc.
• Supervised kite take off
• Control of the Kite in the wind window with one and two hands
• Re-launch of a kite from the water
• Body drag
• Simulation of and first water starts (depending on the reached level of kite control)
• Supervised kite landing
• Equipment packaging
• Back to the kite school and equipment set-up

Kite Camp Day 4, day 5 and Day 6:

• Preparation of the kite equipment at the kite school
• Theoretical introduction
• Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness, etc.
• Supervised Kite take off
• Control of the Kite in the wind window with one and two hands
• Re-launch of a kite from the water
• Body drag with board

Learning program for advanced riders

Also more advanced riders can join to the kite camp.
For intermediate riders, the learning program will follow the the beginner’s program but following the program faster and going to improve those skills that need more attention in order to learn kitesurfing quickly and safely.

More advanced riders can take their skills to the next level, learning new tricks and improving their style. They will be “connected” to the instructors via radio.
