Which are the main differences between the Kite & Sleep Packages and the Kite Camp in Punta Trettu, Sardinia?

• Kite & Sleep packages include kite lessons and accommodation in Punta Trettu and can be booked anytime (if accommodations are available)
• Kite Camp in Punta Trettu Sardinia is a kitesurf Camp that runs in specific dates (they are not always available) and include, kite lessons, accommodation, transportation to the spots and social life.

Kite & Sleep Packages of KiteGeneration include:

• Kite Course
• Kite equipment for kite course: all the equipment required for the kite course is provided (students will have kitesurfing gear, wetsuits, harnesses, helmet, etc)
• Private Accommodation in Punta Trettu: Accommodation in Punta Trettu are next to the Kite Spot and have BBQ and Bar facilities. No other locations are available. Accommodation in single room (in case of 1 person), double room (in case of 2 people), triple room  (in case of groups of 3 people)

The kite spots and beaches where the Kite Course will be held, it is chosen day by day depending on weather conditions and wind direction: in this way, not missing day of kitesurfing! Kite spots could be:

• Punta Trettu (main kite spot).
• Poetto, the beach of Cagliari
• Petrol Beach.

You should reach the kite spots by your own (by car). If you don’t want to drive until the spot you can book our Shuttle Service. Shuttle Service is available for guests of Kite & Sleep Packages on demand: you will be picked up directly from the accommodation to the spot and driving you back at the end of your kitesurfing day!

Kite Camp in Punta Trettu Sardinia of KiteGeneration includes:

• Kite Course
• Kite equipment for kite course: all the equipment required for the kite course is provided (students will have kitesurfing gear, wetsuits, harnesses, helmet, etc)

Description of the Kite Camp in Punta Trettu

With our Kite Camp in Punta Trettu, you will spend a fantastic holiday taking kite classes from basic theory to your first ridings, learning to kitesurf in the best spots of Southern Sardinia with our transfer service. After an exciting day in the water, you will enjoy typical Italian and Sardinian food and social life.

You will be fully immersed in a fantastic kite experience sharing incredible moment and emotions with new friends!

In our Kite Camp in Punta Trettu, the learning program is divided in 5 days with specific activities:

• Kite Camp Day 1:
  • Theoretical introduction: winds, meteorology, wind window, safety systems description, kite gear description.
  • Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
  • Holding, Carrying and Securing a Kite on Land
  • Safety systems use
  • Kite trainer (2-line) set up
  • Control of Kite Trainer (2-line) flight in the wind window
  • Equipment packing
• Kite Camp Day 2:
  • Theoretical introduction: kite types (Pumping kites, foil kites…),
  • Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
  • Pre-Flight Check
  • First Piloting and Explore the Wind Window’s Edge
  • Control of Small Kite (4-line) flight in the wind window / with one hand
  • Re-launch of a kite from the water
  • Supervised Equipment packing
• Kite Camp Day 3:
  • Theoretical introduction: how to take off (launching) and landing a kite
  • Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
  • Pre-Flight Check
  • Launching and Landing as an Assistant
  • Control of kite (4-line) during the flight in the wind window with one hand while walking…
  • Body drag
  • Simulation of and first water starts (depending on the kite control level)

• Kite Camp Day 4:
  • Theoretical introduction: rights and riding rules, how to manage board-kite coupling
  • Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
  • Taking off (launching) and landing a Kite as Pilot
  • Body drag
  • Water starts
  • First gliding on the water / first riding (depending on the reached level)
  • Supervised Equipment packing
  • At the end of the 4th day a video analysis of water start / riding is done at the end of practice in order to evaluate and correct errors and aspects to be improved
• Kite Camp Day 5:
  • Theoretical introduction: riding upwind, self-rescue
  • Supervised Kite Gear Set Up: kite, bar and lines, harness…
  • Taking off (launching) and landing a Kite as Pilot
    getting your riding better / first riding (depending on the reached level)

At the end of each day de-briefing will be done to share the kite feelings and sharing suggestions to improve fast! At the end of the 5th day a general de-brief about riding in order to evaluate how to get better and continue to kitesurfing. At Each student is given a handout package including kite level certification, stickers and information about suitable kites and boards to buy for specific needs

Evening Programm of the Kite Camp in Punta Trettu

During the Kite Camp, after each kite session you will be back to the Kitesurf Hourse in Punta Trettu to be ready for the debriefing, the dinner and sharing great social moments. 

You will have a social dinner in Punta Trettu or to local restaurants and pizzerias. And then you could enjoy ice cream, cocktail, beer chatting and socializing with other people.

• Kite & Sleep Packages: can be booked anytime (if accommodations are available)

• Kite equipment for kite courses: all the kite equipment required for the kite courses/lessons is provided (students will have wetsuit, impact vest, harnesses, helmet as well as the kite surfing equipment).
• Mandatory: students must be healthy and able to swim. Only people that like to attend a mini Kite Course for Beginners (2 hours course) could be not able to swim.
• The Kite Lessons included in our Kite & Sleep Packages and in the Kite Camps have to run in consecutive days without interruption unless agreed before the beginning of the Kite&Sleep.
• Kite certificate will be provided at the end of the Kite&Sleep. Certificate will be provided by mail.
• How to book the Kite & Sleep or Kite Camp Services:
  • Important: We can’t guarantee availability of places for last minute reservations.
  • First step for book a Kite&Sleep is to register to our Registration Page
  • Second Step: To be sure that your Kite&Sleep package is confirmed, a down-payment is required. Please contact us after the registration to know how to proceed for the payment.
• Payment:
  • The full amount of the kite service shall be paid before or at the first kite lesson / the first day of kite & Sleep or Kite Camp. The payment can be done by bank transfer, by paypal (by adding 3% of commission) or by cash. In case it will be impossible to complete your kite course because of lack of wind, we could propose you other services (e.g Tours) or you will be refunded in proportion to the taken hours. No refund is provided for other reasons no depending by us or by weather conditions.

Kite & Sleep additional Notes

• Private courses/lessons (for private Kite & Sleep Packages): 1 instructor/1 kite dedicated to the student for private courses/lessons
• Semi-private courses/lessons for semi-private Kite & Sleep Packages(for 2 or more people with the same level*):
  • 1 instructor/1 kite dedicated every 2-3 students for semi-private courses/lessons
  • Prices of semi-private courses/lessons are valid if you are 2  or more people
  • Semi-private courses are just for groups of friends who do the course on the same days.
    In most cases we can’t join students who do not know each other, as they have always different needs (eg: different days of course, different hours of course) or different characteristics (different weights, different levels)
  • for safety rules, we use one kite per instructor. If the students have the proper level (they can really well control the kite, they can do the body drag in all conditions, they can ride upwind), each student can have one kite. In this case, lessons/courses of each student will be considered as private lessons/courses.
  • * : if you are people with different kite levels that like to join to our Kite&Sleep Package, please contact us.
• Accommodations included in the Kite&Sleep Packages:
  • Accommodations will be in the historical center of Cagliari (no other locations are available)
  • Accommodation in single room (in case of 1 person), double room (in case of 2 people), triple room or apartment (in case of groups of 3 or more people) will be provided.
  • Accommodations included in our Kite & Sleep Packages are excellent, they have excellent utilities like wi-fi, roof or garden and private bathroom (for each room or maximum every two rooms). Use of the kitchen is allowed.
